Job Summary

Builds and modifies tools, dies, jigs, molds and fixtures using precision bench and machining operations.

Job Duties

• Conduct tests for completed tools and / or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications
• Cut, shape and trim blocks to make adjustments
• Grind and adjust different parts to properly fit them together
• Select metals to be used based on properties
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Perform work under direct supervision
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
• 0 to 2 years of experience

• Ability to interpret work instructions
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
• Manual dexterity

• Organizational skills
